Kerry Voted 'For the War' too, But Unlike Hillary, Kerry's A Brother

Just like John Kerry, Hillary Rodham Clinton's position has been that "if she had known in 2002 what she knows now about Iraqi weaponry, she would never have voted for the Senate resolution authorizing force."

Here's Hillary-hater Josh Marshall defending Kerry, in 2004, for the exact same infamous 'war vote' that Hillary is held in the utmost contempt for. Because it's just not the same when a brother does it:

In any case, all of this is merely a too-lengthy way of noting that giving the president the authority and the muscle to force the inspectors back into Iraq (i.e., giving him the authority to go to war if they were not allowed back in) simply cannot be equated with giving the president the go-ahead to game the process and go to war immediately even if they were allowed in. [via Taylor Marsh]

And to Josh Marshall and all the other big boy bloggers who continue to stamp their big boy blogger feet and whine that mean old Hillary simply must drop out of the race for the sake of their party, Big Tent Democrat turns the question back on them:

Why don't we play that game with Clinton haters like Marshall? Do they hate Clinton so much that they will destroy the Democratic Party to make sure Clinton has no chance to win the nomination? Would they rather insure Dems lose Florida and Michigan in November instead of honoring the will of the voters in Florida and Michigan in a revote? Do they hate Clinton more than they care about the Democratic Party?

This is a substantive difference between these candidates - one wants to win election by counting the votes, even if it means doing over the voting, and the other wants to win by disenfranchising voters who might not vote for him.

Spare Us: Obama Bowls 37; So Much for the Common People's Vote (Video)

Barack Obama is serious about getting the common people's vote. Now Barack's bowling, eating hot dogs, and drinking beer too. And you thought it would be fun to have a beer with George Bush!

Obama finished with a score of 37 -- a perfect game is 300. There was no sign of windsurfer John Kerry at the Obama-Bowl-a-Rama.

As noted by Michael Powell at the Caucus: "Mr. Obama, it turns out, was a weak centrist. His balls rolled down the center of the lane, but much too slowly to knock over more than a half dozen or so pins."

Obama's first ball flew well off his hand but also ended up in the gutter. On his second try, he knocked down four pins. About five lanes over, a young man in a T-shirt that said "Beer Hunter" fell on his backside while bowling and still recorded a strike.

Clinton Fever in Kentucky (Video)

Kentucky holds its Democratic primary on May 20. Indiana on May 5.

Quick hits: Clinton touts Kentucky's importance in presidential race --and-- Hillary Clinton brought her campaign to Kentucky and Southern Indiana

Meanwhile, in response to the Obama camp's plea for Hillary to quit and let their man have an easy win, the Washington Post editorializes: Don't Stop Campaigning. As James Carville pointed out today on CNN, every time Obama and his Obamanians call for Hillary to drop out, they piss off at least half the Democrats in the country. Carville also said that if Barack Obama can't take the heat from Hillary, why in the world is he trying to make it to the general?

McClatchy Newspapers reports that Obama appears to be buying Superdelegates: Since 2005, his PAC has donated $710,900 to superdelegates, more than three times as much as Clinton's PAC has. And the Washington Post reports that Obama's claim of a connection between his family and JFK's is NOT true.

Finally, after Obama complained that the Democratic primary is like a good movie that has lasted too long, Hillary smiled and said: "I like long movies."

A Black Woman on the Republican Ticket?

I've seen a number of stories this week suggesting that Condi Rice wants to be John McCain's VP. If the old guard Democrats were to succeed at pushing the woman off the Democratic ticket only to face a Black woman on the Republican ticket, that would mean there really is a goddess and she really is pissed. And it would mean that Democrats might well be waiting another 50 years for their next 2-term president.

If Condi Rice were on the Republican ticket, we could compare the level of respect accorded to her by Republicans with the now infamous Democratic pastime of denigrating, ridiculing and hating the only serious female presidential contender we've ever had. And why have we never had a serious female presidential contender? Oh yeah, because we live in a culture that has a long history of denigrating, ridiculing and hating women.

Republicans would never stand for the media to treat Rice or any other woman on the Republican ticket with the vile disrespect showered on Hillary Rodham Clinton. Democrats have benefited from and all but begged corporate media to insult Hillary, and thus all women, with daily barrels of misogyny. With Condi Rice on the ticket, I'm guessing sexism becomes a firing offense at MSNBC. And I'm guessing Rush Limbaugh begins to look like a sensitive and gracious gentleman next to sexist thug Bill Maher.

Why am I a Democrat? I forget.

The Clinton Backstabbers (Video)

Watch the video for some of the reasons why Democrats are so very famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Despite his many flaws, which include Alzheimer's Disease, Republicans have created heroic narratives around Ronald Reagan. Narratives that have transformed the terribly flawed man into an awe inspiring bigger-than-life legend.

But for terms limits, Bill Clinton would easily have won a third term. When he left office, President Clinton's approval rating of 68% was the highest ever recorded for any departing president in the history of our nation. If the presidency of Bill Clinton never rises to the status of that of Ronald Reagan, it will not be because of the tireless and vicious efforts of Republicans. Rather it will be because the only Democratic president to win two terms since FDR was willfully trashed and vilified by unforgiving Democrats. And all under the leadership of Barack Obama.

Al Gore & Howard Dean Support Letting the Voters Decide - Deal With It Obamanians!

Can you believe it? Al Gore and Howard Dean have both taken the amazing position of letting democracy do its thing.

Letting 'we the people' decide the outcome of the Democratic Primary? Gee, when did Al Gore and Howard Dean become so radical?

To all those Obamania Democrats whining about how Hillary should just drop out so your guy can take some more vacations and have an easy win, I say: Shut Up, Patrick Leahy!

You too, Nicholas Kristof!

What are they afraid of?

Backstabber: Move On's Contempt for the Will of the People

Big Tent Democrat has the latest on Move On's lies and contempt for the will of the people and the popular vote.

I've had nothing but contempt for Move On ever since the organization stabbed Hillary Rodham Clinton in the back by taking sides in the primary with an endorsement of Obama.

I haven't forgotten that it was Hillary who voted against the senate censure of Move On, while Barack Obama chose not to vote. Obama ran away from the premises a mere 20 minutes before the senate voted to condemn Move On for the General Betray-Us ad.

Obama didn't even stick around to vote 'present.'

Krugman: Hillary v. Obama - Who's Bold & Progressive?

Paul Krugman, the one bold and bright progressive light at the New York Times, once again looks at actual policy proposals to judge the presidential candidates on their potential for progressivism:

Mrs. Clinton, we’re assured by sources right and left, tortures puppies and eats babies. But her policy proposals continue to be surprisingly bold and progressive.

Finally, Mr. Obama is widely portrayed, not least by himself, as a transformational figure who will usher in a new era. But his actual policy proposals, though liberal, tend to be cautious and relatively orthodox.

Do these policy comparisons really tell us what each candidate would be like as president? Not necessarily — but they’re the best guide we have.

And to all the Obamamanians who insist that Paul Krugman's son works for Hillary, the progressive icon replies that he has no son or daughter: "And both of my cats assure me that they are not working for any campaign. " [ via Lambert at Corrente ]

Hillary: Democrats Can't Win If Michigan and Florida Votes Aren't Counted (Video)

Hillary was interviewed last night by Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. I can already hear the Obama-manians: Ewwww, Hillary’s a traitor because she went on Fox News! She should have subjected herself to an interview by the MSNBC Boyz on the Liberal Misogyny Channel!

Yeah, right, ‘liberal’ in your woman-hating dreams.

Hillary Tells Fox She’s Still In It To Win It: “The Democratic National Committee and I and my campaign, said to the leadership of Michigan, we’re willing to have a revote. I don’t know how that would have turned out,” she said. “Senator Obama said no. He basically turned his back. Here’s somebody who runs a campaign about empowerment, and all of that. Well, hello, what about giving the people of Michigan a chance to have their voices and votes heard?”

NBC (Nail Bill Clinton) Poll: Surveying Republicans About the Democratic Primary

Shocking NBC/WSJ Bombshell: Hillary Clinton is NOT Popular with Republicans!!!

Chuck Todd was all but salivating with glee on Hardball yesterday as he reported bad news for Hillary and good news for his man Obama. As always, the Obama Channel plays up everything that paints Barack Obama as shining hero and Hillary Clinton as dirty she-devil.

And whenever the Misogyny Channel finds a shortage of negative Hillary stories, the menz do a poll. The WSJ/NBC poll on the subject of the candidates in the Democratic Primary sampled all voters, not just Democrats. Presumably NBC and WSJ were intent upon capturing the views of Obama's infamous 'Democrats for a Day.' The poll oversampled African Americans to such an extent that the margin of error for this subgroup is 7.4%.

Chuck "He-Man" Todd proclaims that Hillary's "37 percent positive rating is the lowest the NBC/WSJ poll (pdf) has recorded since March 2001, two months after she was elected to the U.S. Senate from New York."

Um, that would be two months after Hillary's landslide victory.

Chuck Todd goes further: "Among Obama voters, Clinton has a net-negative personal rating (35-43) while Clinton voters have a net-positive view of Obama (50-29). Taken together, this appears to be evidence that Obama, intially, should have the easier time uniting the party than Clinton."

Um, the poll includes Republicans, Chuck. Obama will have an easier time uniting which party? The 'Democrat for a Day' Party?

Chuck Todd and the rest of the Boyz Media are running with the poll's carefully manufactured sound-bite which proclaims the one poll to be a "myth buster" because it 'proves' that Pastor-Gate is "not the beginning of the end for the Obama campaign."

Other proclamations (video) by Chuck "He-Man" Todd include this gem:

If Nancy Pelosi becomes Speaker of the House, Bush will have an approval rating of 50% by July 4th, 2007!

Jamie Rubin to Andrea Mitchell: Enough With the Denigrating Personal Attacks from Obama (Video)

Poor Andrea Mitchell doesn't know what hit her. Jamie Rubin to flustered Mitchell: Surprise! She's in it to win it! And enough with the desperate and denigrating personal attacks from Obama. Let the people decide! Hillary's not quitting. Deal with it! Or, as Riverdaughter calls it: "The point he kept driving home again and again is that the race will not be decided by pundits or the clique of Washington DC press (ie, The Villagers). Hillary’s not getting out of the race just because they demand it and there are millions of voters out there who haven't been heard from and THEY will decide. Not YOU, Andrea." And not YOU, either, Josh Marshall.

Why Do Obama-manians Sound Just Like Rightwingers and Corporate Media?

Here's Hillary, on the cover of the lefty New Republic, masculinized and morphed into Obama-Man because doing the reverse, or feminizing Barack, would be such a total insult to Obama-Man. And probably racist.

The New Republic doesn't intend to be sexist -- anymore than do many of the right wing and Elite Progressive Bloggers (and their followers) who construct screaming Billary headlines and/or graphics -- but obviously they are sexist.

TNR's cover graphic is captioned with the words: We Have to Choose One. Had TNR chosen to feature an overtly feminized image of Obama on its cover, rather than a decidedly masculinized Hillary in its blending of the two, it would have been a grievous insult to Obama, and all mankind.

Being portrayed as feminine is an insult that is taken seriously by all men who are out to prove their masculinity. And isn't that really what presidential politics is all about? Femininity is the negative to the positive of masculinity. Obviously, masculinizing ambitious women is an insult to all women, but it is regarded as a lesser insult, and we are so fucking used to it because women who challenge the prevailing gender norms are always despised and ridiculed in America. Because this is misogyny as we know it in America.

"Republicans are more eager to see Clinton drop out rather than Obama. Forty-one percent (41%) of GOP voters say the former First Lady should withdraw while just 24% say the same about the Senator from Illinois."

But she won't quit because she's intent upon her "mad pursuit of power," says kos.

Isn't it remarkable how much the right wing has in common with certain progressive bloggers? Isn't it remarkable how much the right wing and corporate attack machines sound exactly like Obama-manians?

Do send them all a sympathy card because, as TIME Magazine reports: "Hillary Clinton is under a lot of pressure these days, but in a Tuesday interview she seemed cheery, confident and unapologetic as she talked about her determination to fight on in the presidential race."

"My family is not big on quitting," says Bill Clinton

Big Tent Democrat: "The Clinton campaign realizes that no matter what they do, they will be declared evil. They realize that no matter what Obama does, he will be declared a saint.. For all those in the Media and in the Left blogs deploring the negativity of the campaign, I suggest they look in the mirror for the main culprits."

Hillary Viewed Favorably by 74% of Democrats, Obama by Only 67%

Despite the best efforts of some elitist Obama bloggers and their militant followers who are apparently out to crush all dissent, most Democrats in the nation continue to prefer Hillary to Obama.

Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll 3/25:

Hillary Rodham Clinton is "currently viewed favorably by 74% of Democrats nationwide, Obama by only 67%. By way of comparison, McCain is viewed favorably by 83% of Republicans."

The number of Democratic Primary voters who say they will vote for Hillary in the general is now at 71 percent. If Barack Obama is the nominee, the number who will vote for him in the general falls to 64 percent. Hillary leads Obama in the nation by 46-43.

UPDATE: And a similar finding from Gallup: "[A]lmost all Democratic voters who say they support Obama for their party's nomination also say they would vote for him in a general election matchup against McCain. But only 59% of Democratic voters who support Clinton say they would vote for Obama against McCain, while 28% say they would vote for the Republican McCain. This suggests that some Clinton supporters are so strongly opposed to Obama (or so loyal to Clinton) that they would go so far as to vote for the "other" party's candidate next November if Obama is the Democratic nominee." [ via ]

Did the poll ask if Hillary supporters would vote for Cynthia McKinney?

"I am confident I will get her votes if I'm the nominee. It's not clear she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee."

Hillary on the Front Lines in Bosnia (Video)

So it turns out that Hillary's trip to Bosnia was only a little dangerous. It still takes guts to go into a war zone (watch the video). Time's Joe Klein: "And — and the fact is that they were told that there was — that they had to take evasive action because of sniper fire, one of those precipitous landings that a lot of us have — have taken, but, on the ground, there was obviously no problem."

FACTHUB, 3/25/08:Hillary recently misspoke about her trip to Bosnia. She accurately describes the trip in her book, Living History:

‘Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to cut short an event on the tarmac…’
“Security conditions were constantly changing in the former Yugoslavia, and they had recently deteriorated again. Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to cut short an event on the tarmac with local children, though we did have time to meet them and their teachers and to learn how hard they had worked during the war to continue classes in any safe spot they could find. … We were then off to the fortified American base at Tuzla, where over two thousand American, Russian, Canadian, British, and Polish soldiers were encamped in a large tent city.” [Living History, p. 343]

"I made a mistake. I have a different memory. That happens. I'm human. For some people that's a revelation."

Obama's Opposition to Florida and Michigan Re-votes Will Haunt Him

Scott Rasmussen and a democratic pollster weigh in on the Democratic primary and confirm what others are saying -- it is going to be very difficult for Obama to claim a valid win in light of his successful opposition to the Florida and Michigan re-votes. Obama's opposition to the re-votes is a problem -- for Obama -- and it's a problem that is not going to go away.

Obama's Pastor Wright to Deliver Sermon in Florida

Update: Wright's sermons have been canceled. The pastor of the Florida church says he, not Wright and not Obama, is the one who canceled, and he did it because the Sheriff's office refused to provide security. The Sheriff's office says that is simply not true. Heh. Fox News is crushed.

Barack Obama's controversial Pastor Jeremiah Wright will deliver sermons in Florida for three nights, starting tonight, at a church in Tampa. The church is trying to ban cameras and recording devices. Good luck with that. "'There will be no photos and no interviews,' the church’s Web site notes." But there is no one who can part us from our phones.

While Obama continues his illiberal campaign strategy of entreating Republicans to register as Democrats for a Day, Fox News is intent on providing the world with round the clock coverage of all things related to Jeremiah Wright. Obama missed the Easter sermon by his new pastor. Fox News did not:

In a sunrise Easter sermon, Rev. Otis Moss III never mentioned Wright by name, but implied that his mentor, who has delivered sermons in which he likened the U.S. to the Ku Klux Klan and declared it damned for its “state-sponsored terrorism,” is facing the same challenges Jesus did.

“No one should start a ministry with lynching, no one should end their ministry with lynching,” Moss said. “The lynching was national news. The RNN, the Roman News Network, was reporting it and NPR, National Publican Radio had it on the radio. The Jerusalem Post and the Palestine Times all wanted exclusives, they searched out the young ministers, showed up unannounced at their houses, tried to talk with their families, called up their friends, wanted to get a quote on how do you feel about the lynching?” he continued.

And on a related note, after repeatedly dodging questions about the Jeremiah Wright controversy, Hillary Rodham Clinton finally broke her silence and responded to a question about what she would have done if she had been in Barack Obama's circumstances: "He would not have been my pastor. You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

"Pray tell it's going to be a long slog to November if every time Obama's pastor opens his mouth Fox News is there to pick apart every single word — which seems highly likely."

Obama Blames Hillary: 'She's Just Trying to Tear Me Down'

Barack Obama is still peddling that old time religion about how He represents GOOD and She represents EVIL. The man has got arrogance. And melodrama. And issues. In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Barack Obama lamented:

"She's just trying to tear me down, and that's not the kind of politics we've been about."

Cue the violins. Is this a relationship or a competitive contest between grown-up presidential candidates? And is Obama going to talk in these starkly personal terms about John McCain too? Or does Barack, um, have issues with women?

And 'that's not the kind of politics we've been about'? Excuse me? Does even a day go by without Obama presenting Himself as morally superior to Hillary the Jezebel? I don't think so. And I don't have the free month it would take to jot down all the negative and dirty attacks fired by Obama and his camp at She-Devil Hillary, but here's a timeline of a few of Obama's morally superior negative campaign tactics.

Oh, and didn't Obama's campaign co-chair just accuse Bill Clinton of McCarthyism? Talk about nasty and melodramatic campaigning! Oh, and didn't Obama's campaign manager just launch a personal attack against Hillary's honesty and integrity?

Not the kind of politics Obama is about? Is Mr. Morally Superior even on the same planet as the rest of us lowly reality-bound earthlings?

Philadelphia Inquirer:

Obama said that Clinton "has the right to continue to compete," but he agrees with Richardson that the campaign has turned negative - and he blames Clinton.

"She's just trying to tear me down, and that's not the kind of politics we've been about," Obama said in the interview.

Carville: Obama Afraid of New Democratic Primary in Michigan & Florida (Video)

James Carville makes the obvious point that Senator Obama opposes revotes in Michigan and Florida because he knows he would lose. Obama does not win big states. Barack Obama's biggest problem with a Michigan revote appears to be that the Republican voters he so covets have already voted in the Republican primary. If Republicans could only be permitted to vote twice, Obama would surely agree to a new DEMOCRATIC primary in Michigan.

Typical White People Are Angry

Typical White People are pissed at Barack Obama. So much so that they're ordering Typical White Person gear over at Cafe Press. Some outraged typical white people in Pennsylvania are venting here. Bloggers on the left and right are writing furiously about typical white persons.

Maybe the primary is giving me a sick sense of humor, but on one level I find all of this to be hilarious. For pretty well forever, Black people have had to listen to stories about typical Black people. The crazed or disreputable actions of one white person is never said to represent the entire group, until now. But it's a longstanding rule that the actions of one Black person represent the entire Black community, at least whenever the behavior is bad. (This rule also applies to women, gays and other minorities.) When a Black person is late for a meeting, it means that all Black people are always late for every freaking meeting.

So, yeah, I think the outrage over the perceived stereotyping of white people by Obama is hilarious. And I don't think Obama is a racist. I just think that he sometimes talks about white people the way white people sometimes talk about Black people. Obama may be half white, but the rule in America has always been that one drop of Black blood makes you totally Black.

Since white people don't like to be stereotyped anymore than Black people do, and since white people are the vast majority of the population, this is going to really hurt Obama.

There's no doubt about it, the Wright scandal has seriously damaged Obama's electability.

Obama Adviser Linked to McCain's Passport Breach -- Poor Obamaman

Keith Obamaman was busily erecting a guillotine for Hillary last week as he all but convicted her of being behind Obama's passport breach. In MSNBC's never-ending quest to prove that Hillary is an EVIL BITCH, Keith treated the Obama passport breach like it was WaterGate II. Obamaman devoted long minutes of his show to reading aloud from Obama press releases. But if Keith wasn't reporting the view from the Obama camp, his very long show would be reduced to maybe twenty minutes.

Keith even discovered that someone who used to work for the State Department knew Bill Clinton! As usual, the joke is on the Misogyny Channel's prime time Obamaman. Poor Keith. He sure won't be getting any exclusive interviews with Madame President.

Time's Swampland reports:

Last Thursday the Obama campaign was up in arms over the news that the Illinois senator's passport information had been breached. . .

Well, be careful what you wish for. Turns out, one of the three people who accessed the candidate's files works for... wait for it... Obama foreign policy advisor, John O. Brennan, president and CEO of the Analysis Corp. Brennan’s employee was the only one of the three who was not fired, merely disciplined and, CNN’s Zain Verjee reports, the unnamed employee also accessed John McCain’s files. In a separate breach, Hillary Clinton’s passport information was also breached.

The idea that it may have a campaign operative is hardly surprising. As my colleague Brian Bennett notes this also happened in the 1992 election when 41’s staff tried to access Bill Clinton’s passport details. The question throughout this mini-scandal has been: what, if anything, of interest was learned. But with today’s revelation a new question arises: will Obama be forced to distance himself or fire yet another advisor for lowering themselves to “politics as usual” tactics, ie doing opposition research on McCain?

Sexist Quote of the Day: When a Wife Wants to be President

“[Senator Clinton] says she’s been to 80 countries. My travel agent has been to 150 countries, that doesn’t make her qualified to be president. . Would someone say that Mamie Eisenhower is better prepared to be president than John Kennedy? Being the wife of a president doesn’t make you ready to be president.”
-- Zbigniew Brzezinski,
former adviser to JFK & Carter

But being a community organizer who HAS A WIFE makes you totally qualified, we're sure.

Somebody’s wife is running for president! Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.

Joe Scarborough, Tucker Carlson and all the boys from MSNBC's Morning Joe show were having a great old time devolving into pathetic fits of good-old-boy laughter after Brzezinski's witty sexist remark. Backlash: PA Poll Finds Only 53% of Hillary Voters Will Vote for Obama

The new Franklin and Marshall poll in Pennsylvania finds that only 53% of Hillary's voters say they will vote for Obama should he actually become the nominee. (poll - pdf.) A survey of this blog's readers had a remarkably similar result.

I chalk this up to sheer rage and frustration over the countless insults hurled by Barack Obama at Hillary and her supporters, even though Barack Obama is said to be so 'above the fray' and all. At every opportunity, Obama makes the point that His campaign is Clean and Pure while Hillary's campaign is Dirty and Nasty. He's honest, she is not. For some incomprehensible reason, Obama fails to recognize how very dirty it is for him to say that.

The Obama campaign's relentless character assassinations just don't count as dirty campaigning. Vast and vicious armies of Obama fans follow his arrogant lead.

And then there's the male-dominated media's absolute refusal to acknowledge in any way whatsoever that Hillary Rodham Clinton's bid for the presidency is every freaking bit as historic as Obama's! But the menz just don't think so. Women are their wives, not their Commanders-in-Chiefs. What is wrong with Bill Clinton? Doesn't he know this?

And then there is the non stop media hatred of the woman's sheer audacity!

Hillary leads Barack Obama in Pennsylvania by 51-35 percent. "She leads among young voters, wealthier voters...voters in virtually every demographic group, with the exceptions of Philly voters and non-whites."

Sixty percent of Obama voters say they'll vote for Hillary if she's the nominee.

"I am confident I will get her votes if I'm the nominee. It's not clear she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee."

Obama Succeeds in Blocking Re-Votes - 25% of Florida Dems May Abandon Party

After successfully blocking re-votes in Michigan and Florida, Obama is now pushing for a 50/50 split. What exactly is the difference in a 50/50 split and a 0/0 split? Either way spells disenfranchisement for millions of voters. As Craig Crawford notes, it is simply "amazing that Democrats have a frontrunner who is seemingly afraid to allow re-votes in Michigan and Florida."

Because Obama will do anything to win, or because of Obama's opposition to the re-votes, we are almost certainly headed for a floor flight at the Convention. And we may well be headed for defeat in November. Tom Watson predicts that Obama's complicity in the disenfranchisement of millions of voters will lead to a "depress[ed] turnout for Senator Obama or Senator Clinton (or both!) in the fall."

A new poll supports that prediction. One in four Florida Democrats may abandon the Democratic Party if Florida's delegates are not counted. An "overwhelming plurality" want Florida's primary results to count, according to the St. Petersburg Times/Bay News poll:

Howard Dean and Barack Obama may insist Florida’s Democratic presidential primary was meaningless, but a new poll shows Florida Democrats aren’t buying it, and one in four may not back their party's nominee in November if Florida winds up with no voice in the nomination.

Not only do Florida Democrats say that the Democratic presidential contenders’ boycott of their primary had little effect, but an overwhelming plurality want the officially meaningless results to count, a new St. Petersburg Times/Bay News 9 poll finds.

Twice as many Clinton supporters -- 56 percent -- want the Florida primary to count as do Obama supporters -- 27 percent. Still, even among Obama supporters, the idea of counting that primary is slightly more popular than holding a new election or dividing Florida’s delegates evenly between the two candidates.

Obama Camp Gives Media Photo of Bill Clinton and Rev. Wright

Obviously, I want Hillary Rodham Clinton to be the next president of the United States. But I'm a liberal, and so under no circumstances do I want race to have anything to do with Hillary's win. When I first saw this photo of Bill Clinton and Rev. Wright (Al Gore is there too), I thought oh great, right-wingers are trying to make the argument that all Democrats are 'no good America-hating anti-white racists.' I thought I'd show a little lefty solidarity and post the photo with the tongue-in-cheek headline: We're All Anti-American, Anti-White Racists Now.

But it wasn't right-wingers who delivered this photo of Bill Clinton and Rev. Jeremiah Wright to the media. It was Obama's staff. In yet another example of how Obama will do anything to win, this little stunt is clearly an effort to divert the media on to Hillary with the hope that the photo will dredge up the whole Monica Lewinsky affair. Shame on Obama. Ordinarily, Hillary and Bill would be defending Obama from the ongoing 'Pastor Wright is a monster' media frenzy, but since the Clintons have been maligned by the Obama camp as racist, there's not exactly any reason to bother.

In providing the photograph to The New York Times, the Obama campaign appeared to be trying to divert some attention to the Clintons after a week in which Mr. Obama’s relationship with Mr. Wright has left him facing one of the biggest challenges of his campaign. There is nothing in the picture or the note that addresses whether Mr. Clinton had met Mr. Wright prior to the White House meeting or whether he or Mrs. Clinton knew anything about Mr. Wright’s views. . .

During one of the most difficult periods in the presidency of Bill Clinton, he addressed a group of clerics at an annual prayer breakfast in September 1998 just as the Starr report outlining his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky was about to be published. Among those in attendance, was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., who is seen shaking hands with Mr. Clinton. Asked for a response tonight through email, Howard Wolfson, a top aide to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, wrote, “Urgent indeed — a picture — oooooooo!”

Senator Clinton’s spokesman, Phil Singer, sent along this reply to a request for comment: In the course of his two terms in office, Bill Clinton met with, corresponded with and took pictures with literally tens of thousands of people.

Obama Camp Continues to Block Michigan Revote - Obama Will Do Anything to Win

The Detroit News reports that Barack Obama continues to block all efforts to allow Michigan Democrats the right to vote in a new primary. The Obama camp is actually threatening lawsuits in order to stop Michigan Democrats from casting their votes.

Barack Obama does not support your right to vote Michigan because he knows you are not going to vote for him. And Barack Obama will do anything to win -- and that includes destroying the Democratic Party. Time is running out, and it's a damn shame. If Barack Obama gets his way and we lose in November because Michigan Democrats stay home, America really will be damned.

Detroit News: Despite a quick visit from Hillary Clinton to make the case and pressure from other top Democrats, supporters of Barack Obama appeared no closer Wednesday to accepting plans for a do-over Democratic primary.

Supporters of the June 3 revote -- including a four-member committee of top Michigan Democrats that hatched the plan -- held out hope that the state Legislature would act on a bill to hold the new primary. But with time running short, the Obama campaign, which has little to gain and much potential for loss in a new vote, piled on the legal objections, and it remained unclear Wednesday night whether the proposal would even get an up-or-down vote in the Legislature.

"Senator Obama speaks passionately on the campaign trail about empowering the American people," Clinton said. "Today I'm asking him to match those words with actions." Through its top attorney, the Obama campaign responded to Clinton's visit by raising a series of issues it said could invite lawsuits if a new primary went forward.

Update - Big Tent Democrat:
Rules Are Rules, Except When They Are Not -- Obama Objects To DNC Rule In MI Revote Controversy - Now we know Barack Obama wants to avoid revotes in Michigan and Florida at all costs . . But it is interesting to see that he is now grasping at the EXISTING DNC rules as his excuse to object to the Michigan revote.

TAPPED:
[H]aving prevented any new vote in Michigan, Obama's campaign may well have given up any moral claim to oppose seating of the delegates elected in January.

Sleazy Media Salivates Over Hillary's First Lady Papers

Hillary's First Lady papers were released yesterday, and our classy Peeping Tom Media pounced on the 11,046 pages of dry schedule records and immediately found the 'the stained blue dress day!'

Because what we need to know about our presidential candidate is exactly where she was on the day the news broke about Bill's infidelity. And it's just rotten-to-the-core that there are no salacious tape recordings or video clips of Hillary's private conversations with Bill to appease the Peeping Tom Media. Because the 785,000 media stories already written about the private life of Hillary and Bill are not enough!

The vultures at the Wall Street Journal also want to know where Hillary was when Vince Foster died. Maybe it's not too late to charge Hillary with murder! Oh yeah, now I remember the real reason we have that idiot in the White House and that war in Iraq.

BRIAN ROSS at ABC SLEAZY NEWS: Hillary Was in White House on 'Stained Blue Dress' Day -- Hillary Clinton spent the night in the White House on the day her husband had oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, and may have actually been in the White House when it happened, according to records of her schedule released today by the National Archives.

Send BRIAN ROSS at ABC SLEAZY NEWS your regards or call -- 212-456-7612 -- and tell him to stop it now !

ASSOCIATED SLEAZY PRESS: Schedules show Hillary Clinton was home during husband’s encounters with Lewinsky -- WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton was home in the White House on a half dozen days when her husband had sexual encounters there with intern Monica Lewinsky.

SLEAZY TIME: Clinton First Lady Papers Released (WASHINGTON) — Hillary Rodham Clinton kept her schedule packed when allegations exploded that her husband had an affair with a White House intern.

WALL STREET SLEAZY JOURNAL: Clinton’s Calendar and Vince Foster -- Among the many things Hillary Clinton’s schedule sheds light on are her activities before, during and after major events in her husband’s presidential tenure — such as the death of Vince Foster. . In July 1993, he was found dead in a park in Virginia with a gunshot wound. After a three-year investigation by Whitewater Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, Foster’s death was ruled a suicide, but many conspiracy theories persist suggesting he was murdered.
