Hillary Rodham Clinton recently joined with other feminists at the famed Sewall-Belmont House and Museum for a book signing by Carolyn Maloney (D-NY).
Ellie Smeal, Pat Schroeder, and Kim Gandy spoke at length about Hillary's presidential campaign, about her contribution to the feminist cause, and about the misogyny. (see video below)
The women also spoke about the unfinished business of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Rep. Maloney's book is aptly titled: "Rumors of Our Progress Are Greatly Exaggerated."
The Sewall-Belmont House was once the headquarters of the National Woman's Party and home of Alice Paul. The event was co-sponsored by the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, the National Council of Women's Organizations, the National Organization for Women and the Feminist Majority.
"We are very tired of fighting for the same thing Alice Paul fought for, the Equal Rights Amendment."
