The ad below, now playing in Memphis, attempts to smear Tennessee's one liberal Congressman, Steve Cohen as racist by linking him to the KKK. The ad is approved by Cohen's primary (Democratic!) rival, Nikki Tinker.
Wow. What goes around, really does come around. If Democrats can stoop so low as to call the Clintons racist, I guess they can do the same to Tennessee's Congressman Steve Cohen. Of course that means ignoring the fact that Cohen was elected by his African American majority district to the state senate for 25 years because of his outstanding progressive pro civil rights record.
But if the Clintons are racist, well, Steve Cohen must be too.
And, yeah, this is the same "progressive" Steve Cohen who compared Hillary Rodham Clinton to the psycho ex-girlfriend who just won't go away, as played by Glen Close in Fatal Attraction. I've spent years defending Steve Cohen, years cheering him on. For some reason, I'm having trouble summoning the righteous indignation the ad below would normally provoke. But there is no doubt about it, the ad is pretty damn low.
Emily's List supports Nikki Tinker against the firmly documented pro choice and ultra liberal (but sexist) Steve Cohen.
