You've heard of bogus polls -- polls so biased that they are completely worthless. Whoever created Tennessee Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn's little online S-CHIP poll couldn't get a passing grade in Sociology 101.
But, wait a minute, I've seen Marsha on Hardball, and now that I think about it, this poll sounds exactly like she talks.
Marsha's poll:
Do you support raising taxes to expand the SCHP program that would provide health care to disadvantage children, while allowing illegal immigrants easier access to free, taxpayer-funded health care?
No -- I already pay too much in taxes and don't want to fund illegal immigrant health care.
Yes -- I believe in further expanding the welfare state and creating an additional entitlement program.
Yes -- But, we need reauthorize the program as it was originally intended with minimal additional taxes.
Illegal immigrant health care? Marsha must think we live in a generous and caring country.
Well, we don't.
When I was a legal immigrant in Canada, I had the exact same universal health care plan as Canadian citizens. But this is America. S-CHIP does not even cover the children who are legal immigrants in this miserly nation, let alone the illegal ones (Kaiser Family Foundation).
Just think, Marsha Blackburn is actually involved in creating the laws of this land. Gawd, no wonder the country is falling apart.
