It's another progressive victory in Tennessee! Beverly Marrero will be moving from the House to the Senate as she takes over now U.S. Congressman Steve Cohen's former state senate seat.
Senator Marrero is one courageous woman. She will be hanging with one of the most rabidly conservative legislative bodies in the country.
With Marrero in the senate, the creaky old conservative senators will definitely be moving their old time legislation a little slower. The progressive Democrat will continue Steve Cohen's tradition of exposing the stuck in the 1950s senators to new and exciting ideas.
