Al Gore Scores Highest Favorable Rating

Al Gore has a higher favorability rating than any of the Democratic presidential candidates, according to a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll.

The poll finds that forty-nine percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of Hillary Clinton. Obama scores 44 percent and Edwards comes in with 42 percent.

Al Gore scores 50 percent.

Another interesting finding: The number of people who view the 2000 election as less than fair and honest has increased.

"In 2000, 48 percent said President Bush won fair and square. That number has now dropped to 40 percent."

And in the actual race for the presidency, "Clinton has a lead of about 15 percent, followed by Sen. Barack Obama in second place and former Vice President Al Gore and John Edwards tied for third."
