News from Zach's Blog: Six More Weeks In Gay Brainwashing Camp

It was thought that Zach would be released from the "Love in Action" gay brainwashing camp today. But it didn't happen.

UK Gay News reports that Zach will spend 6 more weeks imprisoned in the camp.

"According to someone who claims to be a friend of Zach’s, the teen is staying another six weeks at the LIA refuge because his parents find it 'necessary and effective.'"

This report is based on a statement taken from Zach's blog, which Detour Memphis has posted. I read somewhere that Zach is permitted to contact one friend once a week, if so, then this statement is likely from that friend.

UPDATE – SATURDAY – JUNE 18, 2005 – 8:20 p.m.
TAKEN FROM ZACH'S BLOG:

"For everyone who reads Zach's page, here's an update on Zach. He has to do an extension for 6 weeks. So he wont be able to get online or anything. But he thanks everyone for their love and support. And he's doing okay. He's probably changed slightly because of being in that kind of environment for so long but he is still the awesome zach that we know him as. There has been a phony on Myspace pretending to be zach. This is the only page that's the real zach's myspace. (www.myspace.com/specialkid )"

This is such awful news, I'm going to wait for further confirmation before I believe it.

Zach now has more than 1,000 comments on his last blog entry.

UPDATE: As usual, The Republic of T. has a good summary of the situation, and, yes, it appears to be true. Funny, I can usually muster a good rant, but right now this makes me feel defeated and powerless.
