CNN’s Sexist John Roberts: Why Isn't Sarah Palin at Home with Her Baby? (Video)

Here we go again. John McCain announces that Sarah Palin is his running mate and the sexists start falling out of the woodwork.

Women can have babies and jobs too? Who knew?

Suddenly I am a big fan of Dana Bash. We need more women like her on cable news. Most times the women on the male-dominated cable news either keep their mouths shut or agree with the sexist men in charge. This time Dana Bash matter-of-factly put sexist John Roberts in his place (video clip below). Tell CNN about it! (And see Sarah Palin's view in the 2nd video clip.)

Bonus MSNBC Sexism: Also in the video clip, Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd argue that Joe Biden will have to be gentle when he debates Sarah Palin because she's a girl!!! The MSNBC pundits do not explain why the men were so free to gang up on Hillary Rodham Clinton on the primary debate stage.

video via Media Matters: CNN’s John Roberts: "There's also this issue that on April 18th, she gave birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome.... Children with Down's syndrome require an awful lot of attention. The role of Vice President, it seems to me, would take up an awful lot of her time, and it raises the issue of how much time will she have to dedicate to her newborn child?"

Dana Bash: "That's a very good question, and I guess -- my guess is that, perhaps, the line inside the McCain campaign would be, if it were a man being picked who also had a baby, but -- you know, four months ago with Down's Syndrome, would you ask the same question?"
