'Rainbow Coalition' of Bigots to Spend $1.5 Million to Fight Gay Marriage Equality (Video)

Now that we have four whole states where marriage is a legal option for same-sex couples -- and at least nine other state legislatures that are considering legalizing gay marriage this year (!) -- the bigots over at the National Organization for Marriage are seriously worrying about their constitutional right to discriminate.

They call themselves "a rainbow coalition," yeah, a rainbow coalition of petrified bigots who are prepared to spend $1.5 million in support of heterosexist bigotry. Reportedly these are the same moneyed bigots who funded California's atrocious Proposition 8. Certainly they are employing the same lies and scare tactics. (See the 2nd video clip below for a response to the lies.)

Cue the homophobic tv ads --and they are boring ads with lousy actors - see the auditions!

NOM Ad - 'A Gathering Storm'

GoodAsYou.org Responds

Politico: The National Organization for Marriage, a prominent backer of the successful campaign against same-sex marriage in California, is launching a $1.5 million ad campaign this morning aimed at forestalling same-sex marriage support in other key states.

The campaign, whose 60-second television ad is above, seeks to energize the opponents of gay marriage by making the case that it will impinge directly on their own lives. The ads will air in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Iowa.
