From Saturday Night Live comes yet another hilarious reminder that the U.S. media is largely comprised of immature morons. Hillary and Bill Clinton discuss the biased media's laughable reaction to the fact that the couple can make lots of money; they made better than $100 million since 2001, according to their recently released tax returns.
Expect the self-absorbed cowboy media to ignore or downplay the criticism.
Amy Poehler is outstanding in the historic role of the first woman to ever have a shot at the traditionally male job of leading the nation. Hillary may not have the penis, but the woman reeks of audacious feminist confidence. Amy Poehler excels at shoving the feminist trailblazer in our face. With an unabashed smugness, Poehler mocks the cultural resistance to upgrading the status of American women. And she does so by portraying Hillary as a feminist role model to die for.
Thanks to Hillary, we get to enjoy yet another historic first -- a woman starring in the SNL presidential skits. I had no idea that Amy Poehler was so very talented. And I look forward to seeing lots more of her in the starring role of presidential contender and Madame President. In an effort to better cover the presidential election, NBC will offer SNL Thursday Night Live on Thursday nights beginning in October.
The skit includes a priceless line from Hillary, priceless because, in a sound-bite, it says what so many of us admire about Hillary Rodham Clinton. Will Hillary drop out of the race? -- "I am not jumping out of this until after the inauguration!"
