Dan Rather's Unfinished Business with CBS
My hero, Dan Rather is back to clear his good name. In his $70 million lawsuit, Rather charges that CBS sacrificed him as a scapegoat to the White House. Duh.
If Edward R. Murrow were alive today, our corporate media would screw him too.
Rather's lawsuit resurrects the shameful story about Bush's AWOL years in the military.
Rather contends that CBS violated his contract and "committed fraud by commissioning a 'biased' and incomplete investigation of the flawed National Guard broadcast in order to 'pacify the White House.'"
The journalist says he has recently "turned up new information." He will be on Larry King's show tonight.
