Frist Calls for End to 'Destructive Partisanship'

Now that Republicans no longer rule the Senate, Bill Frist thinks 'destructive partisanship' is a bad thing.

The retiring Senate Majority Leader made a laughingstock of himself, in his farewell address to the Senate, when he said, "Let us not allow…destructive partisanship on this floor."

The notoriously bad Senate Majority Leader didn't say a word about his own role as a hyper-partisan rubber stamp for the Worst pResident Ever.

Think Progress (video) reminds us of some of Frist's more memorable moments:

Frist Pushed Gay Marriage Ban.
Frist Pushed Flag Burning Amendment.
Frist Lumped Minimum Wage Hike With Estate Tax Cut.
Frist Bucked Bush On Immigration, Proposed Enforcement-Only Bill.
Frist Offered False Medical Diagnosis From Senate Office.
Frist Advocated Teaching Intelligent Design.

So long Senate Majority Leader Frist!

We're only sorry that your Tennessee home has recently taken on the appearance of an ostentatious Governor's Mansion and that you finally got your medical license renewed and are coming back here to Tennessee to practice more of your scary medicine. Just stay away from our cats.
