Two of the Three Stooges vying for the GOP nomination to replace Bill Frist begin their tv ads with bizarre references to Bill Clinton. Actually, Harold Ford is their Democratic opponent, but these good old boys just can't get their minds off of Bill.
They forget that Bill Clinton carried Tennessee in both elections, and if the enormously popular former president were permitted to run for a third term, he'd carry Tennessee again.
Van Hilleary is also obsessed with Hillary Clinton. And that's putting it mildly. In fact, Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to be one of the top reasons Van the Man is running for the U.S. Senate.
As Van tells it:
Remember me? I'm Van Hilleary. In Washington I voted against Bill Clinton more than any other member of Congress. . . Americans need senators who will fight Hillary Clinton every step of the way!
I don't know about you, but I cannot contain the laughter.
While Van vows to fight Hillary Clinton, Ed Bryant vows to fight terrorists.
Actually Bryant promises a whole lot more than that.
The fool promises to "Win the War on Terror."
