Nashville PRIDE Festival Tomorrow: Looks To Be Biggest & Best Ever

Parade Step-Off 12:00 PM
Festival 12:30-7:30 PM Centennial Park
Featuring headline entertainer
Crystal Waters
Admission: Free

Attendance at the Nashville PRIDE Festival has totaled to more than 10,000 in each of the previous two years. Look for the numbers to increase this year in response to the horrific assault on gay rights by Tennessee legislators.

While lawmakers did not pass their bills banning gay adoption, gay foster parenting, (gay breathing), civil unions or domestic partnerships, they did pass the gay marriage ban. This effort to write discrimination into the state constitution, via an amendment outlawing all recognition of gay marriage, will be on the ballot in 2006 - unless, the suit filed by ACLU-TN succeeds in the meantime.

This year's PRIDE Festival looks to be bigger and better than ever. Come for the fun, and come to show your support for gay rights and plain old civil rights for everyone - at every point on the LGBT continuum. No matter where you fall on this continuum, the bottom line is: They are coming for all of us.
