Largely left out of the health insurance reform bill, an estimated hundreds of thousands of immigrants and their supporters marched on the National Mall in Washington D.C. yesterday to demand immigration reform. The March for America included representatives from a diversity of organizations. Unions were represented. The Vice President of the AFL-CIO was there. African American leaders from groups such as the NAACP and the National Urban League were on hand. Activists from LGBT groups were there. Because if we're ever going to make real change in this country, we're going to have to unite on issues wherever we can.
