Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) Voted With the Republicans on the Stimulus Package

Is Bluedog just another name for Republican? Apparently so. My allegedly Democratic Congressman Jim Cooper (D-TN-05) voted against the stimulus package, along with all Republicans and ten other alleged Democrats.

Schools in this pathetically poverty-stricken state announced that they would be shutting down when they ran out of money to pay the utility bills - and that was before the economy crashed! The stimulus package could ship $76 million to Nashville schools alone.

Hello? Jim Cooper, the people in this state are losing their homes and losing their jobs. They need help. Tennessee needs the stimulus package. Maybe when you are unemployed, Jim Cooper (soon, I hope), you'll understand.

Send Bluedog Jim Cooper your heartfelt disgust here.

Dems who voted against:

Allen Boyd (D-FL-02)
Bobby Bright (D-AL-02)
Jim Cooper (D-TN-05)
Brad Ellsworth (D-IN-08)
Parker Griffith (D-AL-05)
Paul Kanjorski (D-PA-11)
Frank Kratovil (D-MD-01)
Walt Minnick (D-ID-01)
Colliin Peterson (D-MN-07)
Heath Shuler (D-NC-11)
Gene Taylor (D-MS-04)

Special "F. You" Note: To Blue Dog Jim Cooper (D-TN-05)

Crooks and Liars: With Blue Dog Democrats like Jim Cooper, who needs Republicans: It didn't take Blue Dog Jim Cooper too long to betray President Obama. What, eight days or so. Barack Obama started using Cooper last February for health care during the primary and Mike Lux issued a huge warning.

Liberal economists argue for a bigger stimulus package!
