Quote of the Day: Cowardly Cheney

"[I]t didn't exactly represent a profile in courage for the vice president to wander over there to the F-word network for a sit down with Brit Hume. I mean, that's a little like Bonnie interviewing Clyde."

CNN's Jack Cafferty was commenting on Cheney's selection of Fox News, and only Fox News, as the media vehicle to talk about the fact that he shot 78 year-old Harry Whittington. Vice President Cheney appeared on Fox News five days after shooting his hunting buddy. Previously Cheney, who many consider to be the "most powerful vice president in history," refused to talk about the shot heard 'round the world. The VP was thought to be all-powerful before he declared that he has the power to declassify government secrets. Cheney-friendly Fox News did not air the portion of the interview in which Cheney claimed that he had only "one" beer hours before shooting the 78 year-old man.
