Dems Get Spine! Frist Throws Tantrum

Whoa. Turn on the TV. The Dems invoked Rule 21 which clears the senate of everyone except the senators. And Frist is angry, and I mean Zell Miller angry.

The Dems are demanding an investigation of the CIA leak and the manipulation of pre war intelligence. Zell Miller wannabee, Frist ranted and raved about how the bad old Dems made the press leave the room. Like you aren't supposed to clear the room before you discuss classified information.

Frist is pissed 'cause he lost control. When Harry Reid invoked Rule 21, it was a complete surprise to the Senate Majority Leader, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Harry Reid knows more senate rules than Frist has dreamed of.

Reid said the Dems would shut down the senate every day if that's what it takes. Way to go Dems!

In his rant to the press, Frist did not talk about the issue at hand, the utter lack of Congressional oversight on the crazy-as-a-loon Bush cabal. But he sure talked about the Dems. Sheesh, I was embarrassed for him.

Spewing and and frothing at the mouth, Frist said it was a slap in the face, a personal affront, the Dems "hijacked" the senate, it was a "pure stunt" and Frist will never ever trust Harry Reid again!

'They have no conviction, no principles, no ideas, but this is the ultimate. I have been slapped in the face!'

Oh, now I get it. It's all about Frist.

"The United States Senate has been hijacked by the Democratic leadership," Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee said. "Never have I been slapped in the face with such an affront to the leadership of this grand institution."

Sheesh, Frist, get a grip, too much anger on TV makes you look like you can't control your emotions. Arnold will be calling you girly-man.

The cable channels will probably run the Freaking-out-Frist clip nonstop. It's good TV. Jon Stewart will be good tonight!

Harry Reid rocks!

Here's a clip from his statement up at Raw Story:

Given this Administration’s pattern of squashing those who challenge its misstatements, what has been the response of this Republican-controlled Congress? Again, absolutely nothing. And with their inactions, they provide political cover for this Administration at the same time they keep the truth from our troops who continue to make large sacrifices in Iraq.

We demand that the Intelligence Committee and other committees in this body with jurisdiction over these matters carry out a full and complete investigation immediately as called for by Democrats in the committee’s annual intelligence authorization report. Our troops and the American people have sacrificed too much. It is time this Republican-controlled Congress put the interests of the American people ahead of their own political interests.
