Obama Rips Into McCain: 'Go After U.N. Amb. Rice..You've Got a Problem with Me'

In his first press conference after re-election, a very assertive President Obama ripped into John McCain and Lesley Graham for their "outrageous" attacks on U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice:

“If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me,” Obama said, adding: “If they go after the U.N. Ambassador [Obama's emphasis] because apparently they think she’s an easy target, then they’ve got a problem with me.”

Senators McCain and Graham have both vowed to block Rice's nomination  to be Secretary of State because of her handling of Benghazi, well, really because they are angry old white male Republicans who view their job as giving Democratic presidents a hard time. If that means the country gets a hard time too, well that's just part of the angry old white male Republican job description.

McCain and Graham are performing their anger dance even though Rice as not even been nominated:

This morning, in a Fox News interview, [McCain] pledged to filibuster Rice. Hours later he called a press conference with Sen. Lindsey Graham (who has also promised to filibuster) and Sen. Kelly Ayotte (who has become the new Joe Lieberman of the McCain-led three amigos.) McCain pledged to "do whatever to block the nomination that is within our power."
