President Obama is getting an award for 'openness' to the press and transparency of government. I'm sure you remember all those open door meetings the Obama Administration had with the pharmaceutical industry.
The award ceremony occurs on a day full of closed door meetings, and the award ceremony is "not fully open to the press but not fully closed either." Obama can put his "openness" award over there beside his Nobel Peace Prize:
President Obama’s only event at the White House that isn’t closed to the press on Wednesday is a ceremony in which he’ll accept an award for being open to the press. [via]
