After Markos Moulitsas suggested on MSNBC that Dennis Kucinich should be primaried for his opposition to the health insurance deform bill and Moveon began demonstrating against Kucinich for keeping his promise to oppose a health reform bill sans a ROBUST public option, it's nice to see someone on the left defend Kucinich (scroll down to watch it!).President Obama had a little talk with Dennis Kucinich aboard Air Force One about Kucinich's failure to fall in line behind the health insurance deform bill. Funny how President Obama had absolutely nothing to say to Joe Lieberman when he blocked the public option.
Kucinich has said he plans to vote against the health-care legislation because it does not contain a public option. That unwavering stand has drawn the ire of other liberals, who have accused him of a Ralph Nader-esque approach to politics.
"It's not perfect," Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas said of the current health-care legislation in an appearance on MSNBC. "But it's a first step, and God knows it's taken us a long time to even get our toe in the door. ... If somebody like Kucinich wants to block that, I find that completely reprehensible."
