The Empire State Pride Agenda reports that Blue Dog Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand is rapidly evolving left -- to the point that she now supports gay marriage. Goddess knows it's hard to find any Dem who will confess to being pro gay marriage, let alone a Blue Dog Dem!
When it's actually politically expedient to support gay marriage, anywhere in this country, you know we are making progress toward that coming progressive era that I have been talking about for all these many years. Gillibrand still has some positions that would greatly please Bush, but:
Evidently Gillibrand is moving fast to push back against criticism from the more liberal wing of the Democratic Party that she is too conservative to hold Clinton's seat.
Bush is finally back in Texas. Criticism from the left is finally a force to reckon with. This is no time to stop the liberal criticism. I say turn up the volume.
