Blagojevich Kicked Out of Governor's Mansion - At Last!

Today, the Illinois State Senate convicted Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich of abusing his power by a vote of 59 - 0. Not only did they vote to remove Blagojevich from the Governor's mansion, they voted to "permanently bar him from seeking public office in Illinois."

Oh well, maybe the fool can get a teevee show because his comparisons of himself to Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Jr. are freaking hilarious.

Speaking of surreal, I hear MSNBC is hiring or looking to add a brand new prime time show. Maybe Blagojevich should audition for it.

"You haven't proved a crime, and you can't because it didn't happen," Blagojevich pleaded to state senators. "How can you throw a governor out of office with insufficient and incomplete evidence?"

But state senators were unswayed. One by one, before casting their votes, they expressed their contempt for Blagojevich with a litany of epithets, calling him "dishonest," "devious," "corrupt," and a "hypocrite."
