Who is writing Obama's ads? This one is not going to endear the Democratic nominee to senior citizens. It appears to mock McCain for being old. Plus, there is the charge that McCain is so out of touch that he can't send emails. So it's okay to mock voters (old people) who don't know how to send emails?
Also, some say McCain's computer illiteracy is not due to his status as useless old fogey, but rather it is a consequence of injuries sustained while he was a prisoner of war. Regardless, the main point of the ad seems to be that McCain is old. Apparently, Obama has a lot of young and insensitive, or empathy-challenged, types working for him. You think?
It's too bad because the ad's important point about tax breaks for corporations is overshadowed. And far more important than McCain's advanced age (which suggests wisdom to some souls) is his plan to continue Bush's tax breaks for the wealthy, a plan which will continue to stress the country by making money for little luxuries like hungry children and sick elderly people unavailable! But hey, don't vote for McCain because he's old! Really bad ad, Obama.
