Mike Huckabee wants women to submit to their husbands. Republicans aren't exactly famous for promoting the rights of women, and that's especially true if those rights include something other than a career as obedient and decorative slave-wife, but give Huckabee points for honesty.
In 1998, Mike Huckabee was one of 131 signatories to a full page USA Today Ad which proclaimed, more or less, that conservative men feel so much better about themselves when women are sweet and servile or abjectly submissive:
"A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ."
If the dead white male party nominates this cretin, we will be looking at a landslide of historic proportions.
