Bush Thinks He's a Better Man

Quote of the Day

"I doubt I'd be standing here if I hadn't quit drinking whiskey, and beer and wine and all that."
-- George W. Bush

Bush said he gave up drinking 20 years ago and he's "a better man for it." The always self-absorbed fool neglected to consider the fact that the nation is a train wreck because of it.

Unfortunately, our intrepid ABC News reporter neglected to follow up with an effort to get to the heart of Bush's conception of "a better man."

But here are some clues: The pResident added that he quit drinking because alcohol competed with his affections for his family and exercise, "Alcohol can compete with your affections. It sure did in my case," Bush said, "affections with your family, or affections for exercise."

Okay, so a "better man" is a man who has a family and a man who exercises.

Bush the better man insisted that he was never "a knee-walking drunk."
