Gender in Presidential Campaigns

In the gender ratios of presidential campaign staffs, Hillary wins big time among the Democrats. Obama and Edwards could do a lot better, especially Edwards. I thought Elizabeth Edwards said John cares more about women's advancement than Hillary. Rudy Giuliani wins the 'George Wallace Segregation Forever Prize' for both gender and race! Just because Rudy likes to dress like a woman doesn't mean he likes to work with women. But look at Huckabee. Is he really a Republican?

These cool graphs are from Ampersand at Alas a blog. He writes:

At The Huffington Post, Zephyr Teachout and Kelly Nuxoll provide a breakdown of presidential campaign staffs by gender. (They also provide links to an explanation of their methodology and a spreadsheet of their data). Yay them!

What they didn’t provide is simplistic color graphs for the simpleminded among us, like me. So that’s what I’m adding.

Be sure to see Alas a blog for interesting details and links.
