Romney Scolded by Hospital for Attack on Hillary's Healthcare Plan

When Mitt Romney attacked Hillary Clinton's healthcare plan, he did it in front of New York's St. Vincent's Hospital, a hospital named after the "17th-century caregiver to the poor, Vincent de Paul."

St. Vincent's was not pleased:

[T]he hospital hit back. "We find it unfortunate that Mr. Romney misappropriated the image and good will of St. Vincent's Hospital to further a political agenda," a hospital spokesman said in a statement.

Compounding the problem, as the Washington Post notes, "Maybe next time Romney will choose for a backdrop a hospital that isn't home to the Rudolph W. Giuliani Trauma Center."

In the theatre of the absurd that we have come to expect from desperate Republicans, Mitt Romney attacked Hillary Clinton's healthcare plan or "Hillarycare 2.0" as "a European-style socialized medicine plan."

What is absurd is that Hillary's plan bears a striking resemblance to Mitt's plan, um, you know, the plan that "Mitt Romney signed into law in Massachusetts last year."

Mitt Romney's theatrics aside, it is disturbing that Hillary Clinton can't do better than a plan essentially approved by wannabe ultra conservative Mitt Romney. It doesn't take a healthcare expert to determine that Hillary's plan is a very long way from the best plan -- single payer.

Wall Street Journal: "Taking a page from Republicans, her plan would . ."
