Edwards to Rebut Bushie on MSNBC

John Edwards will give a 2 minute rebuttal to Bush's 15 minute speech tonight (8pm central). Edwards bought time on MSNBC, the closest thing we have to a liberal cable news outlet, and the folks at MSNBC have been talking about it all day.

"'Unfortunately, the president is pressing on with the only strategy he's ever had — more time, more troops, and more war,' Edwards says in the ad, according to excerpts provided by his campaign."

Edwards will also be on the Larry King show tonight.

Bush is expected to announce that we are making progress!! We better stay the course!! The broken record in the oval office is expected to announce "plans to reduce the American troop presence in Iraq by up to 30,000 by next summer." (Excerpts)

In English that means the Surge will last for roughly another year.

Senator Jack Reed will give the official Democratic response. I doubt he can compete with Edwards, but I hope the Dems picked someone with a litte fire in the belly for a change.

And finally, the spoof on the Britney Spears spoof: Leave General Petraeus Alone
