More from Lebanon Bloggers

Below are snippets from a few Lebanon bloggers. If you've seen any bloggers from Israel who are addressing the ongoing nightmare, please drop them into the comments, and I'll add them.

Beirut Notes --

Enjoy!

I am stuck in Beirut. My family is stuck in Beirut. No antibiotics, no electricity, less and less gasoline. No way out. My nephews and nieces cry every time they hear a bomb. They are afraid to die.

I spent last night with crying children and anxious mothers to the sound of Israeli bombs.

This is a tragedy. Innocent Lebanese are paying the price of regional conflicts once again.
Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Israel are killing us and the world is watching.

Enjoy!

Israel Targets Lebanese Media

A new theory now being floated is that since Israel is planning an invasion they are trying to cut communication to the outside world in an effort to censor the Lebanese view of the war. Geneva Convention prevents countries from targeting media outlets.

In other news, Ms Rice wants a New Middle East… Maybe she wants the same Middle East that now plagues Iraq and Afghanistan…. Oh wait that wasn’t the Middle East who tore those countries down and destabilized the region, it was good old USA. And now they are doing it again through supporting Israel…. Just today the New York Times headline “US speeds up bomb delivery to the Israelis”.

Here we are, hoping that the US would pressure Israel to stop and it looks like they are encouraging them to continue…

Flags And Broken Lives

I turned to my brother and told him we are gonna stick a big Canadian flag on the car when we decide to leave. It’s kinda sad when you think about it. Believing that a piece of cloth will save your life. It is sadder to think that a Canadian life is valued more by Israel than a Lebanese one. But it truly is, Israel appologized for the 7 canadians but no appologies for the close to 400 Lebanese dead.

Slow News / A Good Read

So pretty much after the tv and cell antenna's were destroyed the news slowed down dramatically. Israel is in South Lebanon now and is making a move towards the Litani River in the Bekaa valley (near me!).

I found a good read today which I'm sure will keep a bunch of you occuppied.
Don't hate me. Just read it and then tell me your thoughts on the matter.
