Feminist Majority Foundation Issues Statement on Polanski, Finally

Kate Harding wrote her piece on Roman Polanski -- Reminder: Roman Polanski raped a child -- on September 28. I guess the Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF) had to think a few days in order to figure out their position. They didn't get around to condemning rapist Roman Polanski until October 2. By that time FMF founder and chair of the FMF board Peg Yorkin had come out as a supporter of cool dude rapists.

Peg Yorkin, founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation: "My personal thoughts are let the guy go. It's bad a person was raped. But that was so many years ago. The guy has been through so much in his life. It's crazy to arrest him now. Let it go. The government could spend its money on other things."
