Tucker Carlson Gets His Macho Man Credentials by Bashing Gays

"I’m not gay." -- Tucker Carlson

In the midst of the Larry Craig media frenzy, Tucker Carlson actually bragged about beating up a gay man! Tucker said his act of violence was provoked by an unwanted advance in a men's room. In a nation with 'leaders' who attempt to get votes by provoking intolerance and hatred for gays, it is difficult to hear Tucker's comments as anything other than permission to go out and beat up a gay man.

When host Dan Abrams asked how Carlson responded to being “bothered,” Carlson asserted, “I went back with someone I knew and grabbed the guy by the -- you know, and grabbed him, and … hit him against the stall with his head, actually. … And then the cops came and arrested him.”

Dan Abrams and Joe Scarborough responded by almost falling off their chairs with gleeful laughter. Tucker Carlson is incredibly infantile and stupid. Dan Abrams (MSNBC's General Manager) and Joe Scarborough don't have that excuse. I found their laughter to be irresponsible and even more offensive than Tucker's wild macho man claim - which I don't even believe. With those cute little bow ties and dimples, Tucker just wants to make certain that everybody knows he is NOT GAY. Apparently, I am not the only disbeliever. Liz Kelly at the WaPo has challenged Tucker to produce a police report.

It's certainly possible that Abrams and Scarborough were laughing at the very funny idea of a Macho Tucker instead of with the fool, but in the current war-against-gays climate that is not how it appears.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is calling on Tucker Carlson, NBC News and MSNBC to apologize for what appears to be an endorsement of hate crimes. Dan Abrams and Joe Scarborough should also apologize for their offensive and inappropriate laughter.

In response to the criticism, Tucker has revised his statement: "Let me be clear about an incident I referred to on MSNBC last night: In the mid-1980s, while I was a high school student, a man physically grabbed me in a men's room in Washington, D.C.."

Where's the police report?
