Tennessee Lawmaker (R) Defends Urging Mistress to Get Abortion

Anti-Choice Tea Party Congressman Scott DesJarlais (R-TN) is telling the world that it wasn't actually so bad that he, an allegedly pro-life tea party zealot, urged his mistress and his patient to get an abortion.

Because, um, his mistress (and his patient) wasn't actually pregnant after all!

Oh yeah, the lawmaker (R) is also a doctor. And the mistress is also his patient.

The Tennessee GOP lawmaker is also infamous for having at least four (4) extramarital affairs!

Perhaps we'll never know if DesJarlais is as incompetent a doctor as he is lawmaker.

But judging from his lame defense and the pettiness evidenced below, DesJarlais ain't much of a lover either:

A transcript of the phone call shows DesJarlais saying, "You told me you'd have an abortion, and now we're getting too far along without one." He then appeared to blame the woman for becoming pregnant: "You lied to me about something that caused us to be in this situation, and that's not my fault, that's yours." The woman responded: "Well, it's your fault for sleeping with your patient."
