Never mind that nearly one in five Americans are having difficulty feeding their families, Republicans on the House Agriculture Committee want to cut the Food Stamp program. [via]This is a program that is essential to the relative health of America's large unemployed and poor population.
But hey, this is what Republicans do. Making life hard for the poor is pretty well the definition of a Republican.
