Court Grants Obama Request to Continue Anti Gay Military Policy (DADT), for Now

So let's see if I have this straight. Republicans are fighting to end the government's discrimination against gays and lesbians (DADT), while Democrats, led by President Obama, are fighting for the government's right to carry on with the discrimination!

So here I am for the first time in my life cheering for the Republicans. Unfortunately, the bad guys, the Democrats, just won another round: "
A federal appeals court on Wednesday temporarily stalled the landmark court decision allowing openly gay recruits to be accepted into the military."

"Obama could halt the enforcement of DADT today. He doesn't have to wait on Congress, he doesn't have to aggressively defend DADT—or DOMA—in court, and he could issue a stop-loss order right now." -- Dan Savage
