The LA Times reports that child rapist Roman Polanski agreed to pay his rape victim $500,000, but there is no evidence that the pedophile ever paid the money.
The Nation's Katha Pollitt: "If a rapist escapes justice for long enough, should the world hand him a get-out-of-jail-free card? . . Polanski, who went on to have an affair with 15-year old Nastassja Kinski, has spoken frankly of his taste for very young girls."
