Women Dominate Sunday Morning Political Talk Shows

Did anyone watch the traditionally dreary male dominated Sunday morning talk shows yesterday? There were so many women on CNN'S Late Edition and CBS' Face the Nation, I thought I was still sleeping and having another one of those dreams about the coming matriarchy. Then I had my coffee and noticed who was still in charge of the shows.

But there are this many women pols in the country?!?? The other shows had the traditionally dreary all-male panels we have come to roll our feminist eyes about, but CBS and CNN surely broke the record:

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Gov. Janet Napolitano, D-Ariz.; Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas; Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.; former acting Gov. Jane Swift, R-Mass.

LATE EDITION (CNN) : R. David Paulison, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Govs. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn., and Bill Richardson, D-N.M.; Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.; Linda Douglass, adviser to Barack Obama; Nancy Pfotenhauer, adviser to McCain.
