Obama Reneges on Campaign Finance Pledge, Blogger Boyz Pounce on Hillary

Some days I swear Republicans pull the strings and we all jump. The fauxgressives are at it again. So Obama reneges on his 2007 campaign finance pledge and the Republican National Committee swiftly pulls out a "scorching Hillary Clinton quote" from way back in February and the TPM blogger boyz pounce:

Those who predicted that Hillary's harsher attacks on Obama would be recycled by the GOP during the general election were proven right again today. The Republican National Committee just blasted out this toughly-worded Hillary quote from back in February, hitting Obama over his campaign finance pledge. . .

Sen. Hillary Clinton: “My understanding is that Senator Obama said he would (take public financing) and that now he’s saying he won’t … Actions speak louder than words. No matter how beautiful the words are and how well presented, you’ve got to get beyond the words. And now we’re seeing how the words don’t even mean what we thought they meant. … So I think it raises some serious questions about what it is he stands for.”

OMG! What a horrible thing she said! Hillary has forever lowered the political discourse! Why did they even let the vicious woman enter the race?

Excuse me, but I think someone has led a sheltered life. That is supposed to be a "scorching quote"? A "harsher attack"? Whatever. It happens to be a true statement. Just as it is true that if Hillary were the presumptive nominee, every damn "scorching" thing Obama ever said about her would be used against her. But the fauxgressives don't want to hear that. Their point is that Hillary was just too mean and too "selfish" to be in the race. Why didn't she just quit the first time the boyz told her to?

The Republicans won't stop pulling the fauxgressives' strings, so naturally the boyz over at TPM are back to obsessing and whining about the evil woman and even recycling John Aravosis' loathsome thoughts about what a "horrible person" Hillary Rodham Clinton is.

Maybe the primary isn't over after all. If you believe the rumors about a July surprise, it's not.
