Everybody's talking about how Obama stole or plagarized Hillary's economic plan. This is not the first time Obama has been accused of plagarizing Hillary's policies. Folks over at DU have been joking about the possibility that Hillary might sue Obama for copyright infringement.
The most damning or jeering condemnation comes from an economist in the McCain camp:
"The fact is that Obama’s [economic] plan today is the most shameless piece of potential plagiarism that I have ever seen. He basically took Clinton's words and Clinton's policies and called them his own. If I were a professor I’d give him an F and try to get him kicked out of school for something this terrible…If I were on the team, I’d be prepping memos." -- Kevin A. Hassett, Senior Fellow and Director of Economic Policy Studies, American Enterprise Institute, John McCain adviser
Perhaps the most striking evidence for the charge that Obama gets all his best ideas from the Clintons is found in the video clip below (7 mins) of a 1992 presidential debate, starring Bill Clinton.
From "change" to "hope" to Obama's often repeated charge that 'insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results,' Bill Clinton had them all in his 1992 campaign. How ironic that Obama has lifted Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign theme in light of Obama's claim that it was the Republicans who had all the ideas in the 1990s.
Or to paraphrase mculator over at DU: The more Obama changes, the more all his ideas look like Clinton ideas.
