Obama's Doublespeak on Hillary's MLK Statement

As many have noted, Senator Hillary Clinton's MLK/LBJ remark has been twisted and stretched into something some people delight in calling racism. And just in time for the heavily African-American primary in South Carolina! What a mind-numbing coincidence.

And what does Obama have to say about the false charge that Hillary Clinton insulted MLK?

Senator Clinton made an unfortunate remark, an ill-advised remark, about King and Lyndon Johnson. I didn’t make the statement,” Mr. Obama said. “I haven’t remarked on it, and she, I think, offended some folks who felt that somehow diminished King’s role in bringing about the Civil Rights Act. She is free to explain that, but the notion that somehow this is our doing is ludicrous.”

Got that? Obama has not even remarked on Hillary's "unfortunate" and "ill-advised" statement. And then Mr. Innocence comes in for the final kill with the observation that some folks feel that Hillary "diminished King's role in bringing about the Civil Rights Act."

Gee, I can hardly wait for Obama to actually take a stand or comment on Hillary's statement.
