Fred Thompson's Advisor Was Once a Pot and Coke Dealer
Fred Thompson's campaign co-chair is known to be a former marijuana and cocaine dealer. Is this why Freddie looks stoned all the time?
Former Tennessee Senator and current GOP presidential candidate Freddie Thompson has a close advisor, fundraiser, and campaign co-chairman who has a criminal record of drug dealing. That would be Tennessee businessman Philip Martin. The charges were selling marijuana (11 pounds), felony bookmaking, cocaine trafficking, violating probation, and conspiracy.
Philip Martin did no jail time. If this were you and me, we'd be locked away for life, and former prosecutor Fred Thompson would have made certain of it.
Martin has contributed to a number of Republicans including Lamar Alexander and John McCain. Philip Martin is an old and good friend of Frederick of Hollywood's but Freddie didn't have one clue about Martin's past, or so Thompson's campaign staff claims.
If Freddie's smoking pot, it would sure explain his stoned and laid-back behavior.
Fred Thompson will be in downtown Nashville this Wednesday for lunch and to attend the CMA awards.
