Draft Al Gore Ads to Run on CNN and in New Hampshire (Video)

Draft Al Gore is running the following Al Gore for President TV Ad for 5 days on CNN beginning today and for 3 days in New Hampshire (WMUR).

These loud progressive voices are a good thing regardless of whether Al Gore ever runs for political office again. We are building a progressive movement, and voices like these not only have a tendency to snowball, they also help inform the positions of Hillary Clinton and her rivals. Hillary may well be the most pragmatic candidate; I believe she is the one candidate with the star power and resources to withstand the swiftboaters and win. As long as we have an organized and loud progressive movement, a future President Hillary Clinton will find it exceedingly difficult to refrain from moving further to the left. Every time we raise our voices for Al Gore, we send an important message of support for progressive policies to Hillary or to whomever the future nominee may be.

Last week's CBS News poll put the undeclared Al Gore at 5 points behind Hillary Clinton. A recent CNN poll determined that Al Gore would beat Giuliani "52 percent to 46 percent, compared to Clinton's 49 to 47 percent." And a brand new Zogby International poll finds Al Gore in the lead with 35 percent to Hillary's 24 percent.

Imagine Al Gore as President

"Al Gore still has time to jump into this race," said Draft Gore chair Monica Friedlander. "He maintains a massive base of support, as evidenced by recent polls and the unprecedented strength of this truly grassroots movement that's sweeping the country unlike anything we have seen in recent political history."
