Al Gore Wins Nobel Peace Prize!

The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Al Gore! What a fitting tribute.

This most prestigious prize on the planet recognizes Mr. Gore for the international hero that he truly is.

The man is a giant-slayer:

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said global warming, "may induce large-scale migration and lead to greater competition for the earth's resources. Such changes will place particularly heavy burdens on the world's most vulnerable countries. There may be increased danger of violent conflicts and wars, within and between states."

No one deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than statesman Al Gore:

What's world peace got to do with global warming? Perhaps everything. Or it will if things don't change fast -- if, in 10 or 20 or 40 years devastating floods and droughts displace millions of refugees and spur nations and tribes to desperate bloodletting. . . In the 21st century, although the world faces a new era of turmoil, peace ultimately must be about identifying and resolving the sources of conflict before battles break out. That's why no one deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than Al Gore.

And to think, Al Gore is from Tennessee! I have never been prouder. As Tennessee liberal blogger Sharon Cobb says, Congratulations, Mr. Gore. You are the pride and joy of Tennessee (and the nation)!

[Eat your heart out Bush!]
