So much for all those Republican sighs of relief, Sen. Larry "NOT GAY" Craig is reconsidering his intention to resign from the Senate.
The news only just leaked out, and already there are reports that the 'scandal-stained' party is so not amused.
Last week the Family Values Senator (R-Idaho), who was busted in a bathroom sex sting, made the Republican Party joyous when he told the world: “It is with sadness and deep regret that I announce that it is my intent to resign from the Senate, effective Sept. 30.”
Since then Craig has seriously lawyered up and that includes hiring Michael Vick's attorney, Billy Martin.
As MSNBC’s Dan Abrams notes in the video below, Larry Craig is once again a big problem for the loser Republican Party. And we know how bad Republicans hate to lose.
Said one Republican strategist: "[T]he honorable thing for Craig to do is simply disappear."
Let's hope the GOP is not preparing to 'disappear' their newest poster boy for lewd Republican hypocrisy via a small airplane.
Green Mountain Daily -- Go, Larry!
Talking Points Memo -- What the hell is Specter thinking? Is he trying to destroy the Republican party?
Riehl World View -- Great, just great. . . We have enough idiots in Congress already without Craig.
All Spin Zone -- Larry Craig to Retract His Guilty Plea AND His Resignation
Michelle Malkin -- Larry Craig: He was for resigning before he was against it.. Oh, triple crikey.
