Fox News Loses, Netroots Wins

The Fox Opinion Channel has admitted defeat and called off the Sept. 23 Democratic presidential debate because nobody would come.

John Edwards was the first to decline. Obama and Clinton soon followed his lead. The biased GOP led affair was to be held at the Fox Theater in Detroit.

Skippy reminds us that this is yet another win for blogtopia since it was the netroots that pressured the Democrats to come to their senses and stay away from the Decider's channel. Earlier this year, a Fox sponsored Democratic debate in Nevada was also cancelled due to pressure from the netroots.

The proposed debate was co-sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus. Unfortunately, the CBC was polite to the bitter end, citing scheduling conflicts as an excuse for its withdrawal rather than the sheer absurdity of letting the "biased, racist GOP propaganda newschannel" be in charge of anything calling itself Democratic.
