An Oath To The pResident (Video)

This clip lasts about a minute but says volumes about the dismal and maybe doomed state of the nation. The pResident's Women -- Sarah Taylor and Harriet Miers -- follow orders and Defy Congressional Subpoenas. Will they be held in contempt? Or is the country so far gone that it hardly matters?

TIME: Taylor began by telling the committee she would observe Bush's directive to defy the subpoena and refuse to answer questions covered by executive privilege, unless a court ordered her to do so. . . Democrats noted that Taylor, 32, is a private citizen compelled by subpoena to testify, under threat of being held in contempt of Congress.

Big Tent Democrat at Talkleft: "Ms. Taylor's refusal to discuss certain matters at the behest of the President is flouting a legal subpoena which has been unchallenged LEGALLY by the President."

TPM: Are Subpoenas Optional? Congress took "the first step towards finding [Harriet] Miers in contempt."
