Does Sen. Henry Favor Privacy Rights?

State Senator Douglas Henry has once again confirmed that he does not think much of -- or "favor" -- women. Recall that Senator Henry is one of the six Democratic Senators who voted for a measure that would have outlawed abortion rights in Tennessee -- with no exceptions for rape, incest, or even to save the life of a woman!

The 81 year old Nashville Democrat has been getting mail via NARAL regarding Stacey X's infamous and invasive death certificates for abortions bill.

Rachel over at Women's Health News received an amazingly one-size-fits-all response from the Southern Senator regarding said jerkbag legislation:

It has always seemed to me that one's viewpoint on unborn children depends on whether one views the matter from the standpoint of the child on one hand, or from the standpoint of the unwilling prospective mother on the other hand. There are certainly strong arguments in favor of the unwilling prospective mother, but I decided long ago that I would come down in favor of the child. Appreciating your having written,

I remain,
Very truly yours,
Douglas Henry

Obviously, the elderly gentleman made up his mind many decades ago, and he clearly is not listening or responding to his constituents' concerns about mere fundamental rights like keeping medical records out of the public domain.

We presume Sen. Henry has heard of the slippery slope.

You know what they say:

First they came for the privacy rights of women . . .
Next they came for the privacy rights of Viagra users . . .

I'm sure some enterprising pro choice attorney can come up with a good reason, and a good piece of legislation, that would necessitate making the medical records of Viagra users public.

And on whose side will the 81 year old Senator come down then?
