Waiting for Speaker Pelosi To Clean House

Like Joe Scarborough said on today's Hardball, Denny Hastert is 'a dead man walking.'

We are simply waiting for Speaker Nancy Pelosi to clean house.

And what a breath of fresh air Nancy Pelosi will be after all those old ugly immorally superior white conservative men. (An added bonus: Pelosi looks and behaves as though she came of age after the invention of the light bulb! Post Victorian Era Americans can relate to her!)

According to the latest Rasmussen Report via MyDD:

61% of Americans believe the Republicans protected Foley.

Sixty-one percent (61%) of American adults believe that Republican leaders have been “protecting [Mark] Foley for several years.” A Rasmussen Reports national opinion survey conducted Tuesday and Wednesday nights shows that only 21% believe that the leadership “just learn[ed] about Foley’s problems last week.”

The Bushies don't believe in polls, so they don't have to worry their beleaguered little bubble heads about it, but for the rest of us, there's more...

The latest Associated Press-Ipsos poll finds "by a margin of nearly 2-to-1 likely voters says Democrats would be better at combating political corruption than Republicans."

A majority of voters disapprove of Bush's handling of Iraq, a majority disapprove of Bush's handling of the War on Terror, a majority disapprove of Bush's handling of the economy. . .

In other words, Denny Hastert isn't the only dead man walking.
