Gay Activist 'Outs' Idaho Sen. Larry Craig
Mike Rogers, the gay activist and blogger at BlogActive, has outed Republican Sen. Larry Craig (see photo) on the nationally-broadcast Ed Schultz Radio Show -- (listen to it).
Rogers is on a mission to 'out' closeted gay Republicans who work against the interests of the gay community. A list of Republicans who fit that bill can be found in the sidebar of Rogers' blog. According to the subtitle of that list, Rogers has been outing hypocrites since 2004. Foley was on the list before Foleygate ever surfaced.
In recent weeks, Rogers has talked about his mission on numerous tv and radio shows, including Tucker Carlson and the Bill O'Reilly Show. The activist promises that he will out at least one more member of Congress before election day.
Senator Craig does appear to be qualified to be on the list.
Benito at dkos reports that Senator Larry Craig:
"Voted YES on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. Voted NO on adding sexual orientation to definition of hate crimes. Voted NO on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation. Voted YES on prohibiting same-sex marriage. Voted NO on prohibiting job discrimination by sexual orientation."
Pam reports that the Republican Senator has "a 0% rating in HRC's 2006 Congressional Scorecard."
Senator Craig's office denies the charge.
