Our endorsements go to the strongest feminist candidates. We listen to our membership and respond to their requests for action in races in their states. Therefore, pursuant to the request of Connecticut NOW, NOW PAC is endorsing Ned Lamont for the U.S. Senate.

NOW PAC's endorsement of a liberal underdog attempting to unseat a three-term incumbent whom polls suggest is more popular with Republicans than Democrats comes three months after Connecticut NOW leaders blasted Lieberman for refusing to support a filibuster against the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court.
"This is a slap in the face to every woman in this state, no matter her political beliefs, economic status, or race," Rosemary Dempsey, the president of Connecticut NOW, said then.
